Creative, Compassionate Mental Health Support in Mildura
At Pelican Arts, we offer a unique blend of Mental Health Social Work and Art Therapy to support individuals through emotional, psychological, and social challenges. Whether you’re seeking practical, evidence-based strategies or creative, non-verbal ways to explore your inner world, we provide space for both.
What We Offer
Mental Health Social Work

Mental Health Social Work is a professional, therapeutic service that supports people navigating life’s difficulties. Medicare rebates are available with a GP referral under the Better Access initiative. We provide psychotherapy tailored to your goals, grounded in evidence-based approaches like ACT, CBT, mindfulness and trauma-informed care.
Art Therapy

Art Therapy is a form of psychotherapy where creative processes are used to explore thoughts, feelings, relationships, and life experiences. No art skills are necessary—just a willingness to explore. Through image-making and reflection, clients can access insight, regulate emotions, and work toward therapeutic change.
Why Choose Pelican Arts?
-
Professional care: Services are provided by Kate Cotching, a Mental Health Social Worker and Registered Art Therapist with years of experience in both fields.
-
Integrated support: You can choose to work with talking therapy, art therapy, or a combination of both.
-
Evidence-based, person-centred: Our approach meets you where you are, drawing on therapeutic methods that respect your goals, identity, and lived experience.
-
Inclusive & accessible: We welcome clients from all walks of life. Some services attract Medicare rebates, and NDIS participants are also supported.
Pelican Arts acknowledges the First People of the Millewa-Mallee as the traditional owners of the land on which we work. The Latji Latji, Nyeri Nyeri, Ngintait and Wergaia as well as their neighbours the Barkindji, Maraura, Mutti Mutti, Tatti Tatti and Wotjabaluk. We pay our respects to the elders past, present and emerging.
